Privacy Policy

Hummli is a private, offline-first loyalty-card wallet. There is no Hummli account, advertising network, analytics service or Hummli-operated server that receives your card data.

Information stored on your device

Hummli stores the information you choose to add—including shop names, barcode values and formats, notes, colours, logos, favourites, usage counts and optional card photos—in the app’s private storage on your device. This information is used only to provide Hummli’s card storage, search, sorting and barcode display.

Hummli does not send your card data to us, advertisers or analytics services. On iPhone, cards can synchronise through your private Apple iCloud database. On Android, cards remain local to the app, although Android may include them in your encrypted Google device backup when system backup is enabled.

Camera and Photos

Hummli accesses the camera only when you choose to scan a barcode or take a card or logo photo. Images selected through the system photo picker or captured with the camera are processed on the device for barcode recognition, cropping and storage. Hummli does not request access to your entire photo library. Saved card images are re-encoded to remove embedded metadata such as location information.

Website icon requests

Hummli does not choose a logo from a shop name. Only when you enter a website and request its icon, Hummli contacts that website to retrieve its published icons and may use Google’s public favicon service as a fallback. The requested domain and ordinary network information, including your IP address, may be received by those services under their own privacy practices. No request or browsing data is sent to us. The chosen icon is cached on your device.

Cloud sync and device backup

On iPhone, when iCloud Drive is available, Hummli automatically synchronises your cards through your private Apple iCloud account. On Android, Hummli does not provide live card synchronisation, but Android may include its private local data in your encrypted Google device backup when system backup is enabled. Your private iCloud or Google backup data is not accessible to us, and Hummli does not operate its own card database or cloud server.

Tracking, advertising and analytics

Hummli contains no advertising, analytics or cross-app tracking technology. It does not create a user account, build a shopping profile, request location or sell personal information.

Support requests

When you choose to contact support, the support page displays a Google Form. The request contains the category, email address and message you provide, plus the Hummli version if you choose to include it. It never includes card data automatically.

Responses are stored privately in the developer’s Google account and used only to reply to and resolve your request. Google processes the form and may receive ordinary network and device information under Google’s Privacy Policy. You do not need a Google account to submit the form.

Retention and deletion

You can delete an individual card from its Edit screen. Deleting Hummli removes its local data. On iPhone, cards already synchronised to your private iCloud database may remain available for recovery after reinstalling the app. On Android, a device backup may restore app data according to your Google account and device-backup settings. Cloud and device-backup retention is controlled by your platform provider and account settings.

Support requests are deleted when they are no longer needed to respond to or resolve the request.

Security

Card data is kept inside Hummli’s private app storage and, where applicable, your private iCloud database or encrypted Android device backup. It benefits from your device and platform provider’s security and data-protection features. No software can promise absolute security. Hummli reduces exposure by operating no card server or account system and including no advertising, analytics or location collection.

Changes and contact

This policy will be updated if Hummli’s features or data practices change. For a privacy question, use the support page. Never include a card number, barcode, card image or other sensitive information in a support request.
